PARISH CENTRE UPDATE APRIL 2018

I am pleased to announce that our Fundraising Committee has been formed. To launch our fundraising campaign, the following has been set-up/organised:-

DONATION ENVELOPES: are available at the back of the Church, in the reception area of the Parish Centre and will be available during Mass in the Assembly Hall, St Lorcan’s BNS on Sundays.

CHURCH GATE COLLECTION: We are holding a church gate collection at all Masses next weekend, 14/15 April 2018.

SONGS & POEMS OF PERCY FRENCH EVENING: We are delighted to announce that The Percy French Troubadours are hosting an evening of “Songs & Poems of Percy French” at 8pm on Friday, 20 April 2018 in the Assembly Hall, St Lorcan’s BNS. Tickets €15 can be purchased from the Sacristy, St Philomena’s Church, the Parish Office in the Parish Centre and Manor Hair Studio in Manor Road.

We are continuing to liaise with the Archdiocese in regard to the possibility of applying for donations from a foundation and negotiating a contribution from SHARE. We are also in the process of applying for grants through the South Dublin County Council schemes. As you can appreciate, all of these take time and can be a slow process but we will persevere!

In the meantime, our fundraising is gaining momentum and we will keep you updated on developments. Thank you to all those who signed up to volunteer in our fundraising campaign. No doubt the Fundraising Committee will be reaching out to you for your help.

Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support thus far and appreciate your continued support into the future to save our Parish Centre.

Canon Tony Reilly, P.P
