Mass at Dublin Castle at 11am on Saturday, 26 Aug 2023

All are invited to a special Mass at Dublin Castle on Saturday, August 26, at 11am. Our choir, the Newman Vocare Ensemble, will be singing, Archbishop Dermot Farrell will be celebrating and Fr John Jenkins CSC, president of the University of Notre Dame, will be preaching. There are no tickets necessary.

University Church, Taizé service on Friday, 25 Aug 2023

There will be a special Taizé service on Friday, August 25, at 6pm at Newman University Church (the weekend Notre Dame Football is in town to play Navy). All are welcome to this prayer service of beautiful music, silence, and prayer. Tea and biscuits will follow.

 

Their regular Taizé services each Tuesday will resume on 12 September 2023 at 6pm and run through Advent.

‘UNDER MARY’S MANTLE’ CONFERENCE

Young Adult Catholic Conference – Saturday, August 19, and Sunday, August 20. ‘Under Mary’s Mantle’ is a conference on faith and culture for young adults (18-35) with talks, prayer, Mass, Confession, workshops, food and social in the historic All Hallows campus, DCU, Dublin. A chance to build your faith in friendship with young men and women from across the country. Keynote speakers include poet and convert Sally Read, a one-time radical feminist who embraced the Faith, Bishop Alphonsus Cullinan, Cistercian Fr Aelred McGee, Marian theologian Professor William A Thomas and many more. The talks and workshops range widely from poetry to reading the Bible, vocations and Mary in the Liturgical Year. Mass and Confessions take place both days. Two-day ticket (Saturday & Sunday) – €60.
